Tapio Wirkkala, Artist and Designer. He is often considered to be the father of modern Finnish Design. His fame started with the design of Glass at Ittala. Tapio Wirkkala worked with many different materials, Glass, Wood, Metal, China and more. He designed Stamps and Notes for the Finnish State. He has won many prestigious prizes.
